Lyrics English & Italian (below): Often we take flight with wings of wax that will melt like snow at spring; We shelter in dreams, to escape from boredom, often confusing illusion with joy. How many times we play like true actors, Disguising at our best our inner tides of feelings To remove afterward the mask in a dressing room, in the arms of a caring cherub. We move towards tomorrow as moths, without worry of the pitfalls and sorrows. We get lost between the notes of a Pied Piper, who often leads us to a tragic fate When we understand that life is in our hands, the days of youth long gone, we try to fix our old mistakes, hoping that some best days still remain.

In anger, she swept in like the wolf (silence the lies) a fraction, a fraction... Semblance and never in deference The sunrise spewed its indifference across the tundra (a fraction, a fraction, silence, silence) Over to the moment to believe in the sons of god and the sons of man and the sons of all things we did not know and then, lost it all Taking on the world, taking on the world ,taking on the world, taking on the world. (Silence the lies) Lay indifferent... burn through the world in every chance (drifting through this nether to your place) You say there’s a difference Broke a line before the wall, there’s a seam through all the senses that became you. I never knew a moment as lost and lonely as you (silence the lies) (silence the lies) Here we go, you said! His world clamps its feet round your insides, yet she came and seems indifferent, spoken, a chance to deny; falling insane, falling insane... how can you forgive me a fraction, a fraction never seen before I see a truth... brought tragedy in through the evergreen... brought down the world, ceased to become and we feel and we feel and we feel... and we feel a fraction of light n the soul... at the light of the dreams that we fail a mere fraction of light, a mere fraction of life This moment taut, deformed in the ceiling. That we dreamed that we walked and we’ve called all the moments that now we can live in the torment. A mere fraction of light. (silence) Loud through the words of the seekers and then we can draw parallel designs... Never war! How... this world that comes at you that you can not see? A fraction, a fraction, silence, silence... Silence the lies (It took a moment to find the waters) the worlds that you see through your innocence... lept back behind the sight of your insides falling down walls, falling down here all that will come, all that you'll hear Floundering a drift in the water! Then the sea of trees that belong in the nothing! Dreamless the sense of a fire in the water, if nothing? A fraction, a fraction... A fraction, a fraction... I can’t believe you! A fraction of your life behind these disguises you move through the world. I won’t believe you! Drawn lies between your eyes, again (sickle plans & sycophants) You say you forgive me! You say there’s forgiveness! A black hollow juts through your eyes! (Silence the lies) This fraction, this fraction, this life... This fraction, this fraction, this life... This fraction, this fraction, this life tears me away. (Broken in light of this) The sunrise spewed indifferently across the tundra. Vermillion the backdrop and amber powder petals whisper delicately across this vast shadow, animating this barren sea The sunrise spewed indifferently across the tundra. A backdrop of cinnabar powder petals whisper clumsily across this vast tendril shadow. Animating the sequence! A fraction, A fraction I don’t believe you Silence the lies Broken in light of this

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - lyrics WHERE GRACE EVER RESIDES PRELUDE What did you think this would lead to? Where did you think this would go? VERSE 1 The Dream Theatre... how visceral, our dreams here! You arrived in one overnight while we awaited the apocalypse A knock, then you Such glorious exchange on life Warm Heart-full Then onward through gentle parting. Another moment, among many shared over time A deep blue float merged while submerged unexpected meaningful pause between breaths when all appeared Whole VERSE 2 Lightening at daybreak, piercing the calm disrupting the heart. An embrace of unusual power, we remember... the teacher resides within VERSE 3 Dig deep... a siren's call to action. Lift from harm's sway. Await the gentle breeze that follows a more urgent wind. Easing now through the opening to boundless space where Grace ever resides. POSTLUDE I AM HOME

An existence which is lying away And a body filled with soil and solid air It begins to reflect in my breath It covers me in fear The passion of emptiness No expectation from a shade which lies ahead Into nothingness I am trying to reach your face Only absence is the name of your return Farewell my shade Farewell My red passion has dived into nothingness I can't calculate the distance It begins to reflect in my head Now it covers me in tears My passion is meaningless No expectation from a shade which lies ahead Into nothingness I am trying to reach your face Only absence is the name of your return Farewell dry shade Farewell

ZAGARA by Lisa Miles ~ 10 select previously-released singles (Solo Work & Choice Collaborations ’15-’23)

~ Dedicated to Vladi, my husband & partner in music ~

“Zagara” is Sicilian of Arabic origin, meaning “blossom.” From 2015 on, I became forever compelled to compose solely on electric violin and mandolin instrumentation. Since that point, in addition to solo pieces, I have created work with artists and bands from around the globe. More: www.lisamilesviolin.com ; lisamilesviolin.bandcamp.com

ALBUM GENERAL NOTES:

My electric violins are Zetas. The back cover of the CD is the first, in scarlet.

Full lyrics, mix/master credits and more for all pieces can be found on the individual song title page clicked herein.

If you are following along chronologically on song title pages as to when these pieces were originally published, you will see a gap of years '19 - '20. I got back to working on more of my original music in ’21 tandem with playing in Jesucrisis since ‘17, the band my husband long-founded. (Check out the “Archaic Fires” album at jesucrisis.bandcamp.com for more electric violin compositions/playing).

“I’ve listened to all of [Zagara] album because it’s obviously honest and original.  I find it interesting and nervy… kept me listening for what was to happen next. I like and enjoyed all the tracks. You’re great, your playing is inspired”— Simon Hinkler, The Mission (UK)
